All New York fans owe a debt of thanks to Bill Shea for bringing National League baseball back to New York after the exit of Brooklyn Dodgers & New York Giants after the 1957 period. Bill Shea was a legal representative who dedicated 4 years of his life working untiringly to take National League baseball back to New York. It was a hard fight against great entrenched owners fighting badly to maintain the status quo.
